Vastu for South Facing House: Simple Tips for Positive Energy
Many people believe that the direction of a house affects the energy & happiness of those living in it. If you have a south facing house you might wonder if this direction brings good or bad results. According to Vastu Shastra every direction has its own energy & with the right planning even a south facing house can be full of positive vibes & success.
Is a South Facing House Good or Bad?
In Vastu the south direction is ruled by Yama the god of death which sometimes makes people think this is inauspicious. But this does not mean a south facing house is bad. With proper Vastu adjustments the house can bring wealth health & peace. The key is to balance the energies & use the space wisely.
The main entrance in a south facing home should be carefully placed. A door that is well-designed & positioned can attract good fortune & protect the home from negative forces.
Best Vastu Tips for South Facing House
- Main Entrance: Place the main door slightly towards the south-east or south-west corner of the south wall. Avoid putting the entrance exactly in the center.
- Living Room: It should be in the north or east part of the house. This helps bring light & fresh air creating a happy environment.
- Kitchen: The south-east corner is best for the kitchen because it represents the fire element. If not possible the north-west corner can also work.
- Bedrooms: Master bedrooms should ideally be in the south-west corner to bring stability. Children rooms can be in the west or north.
- Bathroom & Toilets: These should be in the north-west or south-east corners. Avoid bathrooms in the north-east.
Using Colors in a South Facing House
Colors have a big impact on energy. For a south facing house warm colors like light yellow cream or light brown work well. These colors bring warmth & happiness. Avoid dark colors like black or dark blue on walls or main doors as they can attract negative energy.
